Hi, I’m Haroon, a UK-based cricket journalist, coach, and talent scout with over six years of experience in the game — both on and off the field.

Cricket has been at the centre of my life for the past decade. As a player, journalist, ECB-accredited coach, and scout, I’ve worked across nearly every level of the sport — from grassroots to the international stage.

I’ve been fortunate to gain ECB and ICC media accreditation, covering some of the sport’s most prestigious events including the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Domestically, I’ve reported from tournaments like The Hundred, the Vitality Blast, and Pakistan’s own Pakistan Super League (which I’ve followed since its inaugural season in 2016). My journalistic work has spanned both England and Pakistan, with contributions across various platforms.

As part of my media and cricket development work, I’ve also had the privilege of working as an ECB accredited journalist working with international players such as Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik. I’ve built strong working relationships within the game — not just through coverage, but through mentoring, coaching, and identifying talent. 

As an ECB-qualified coach, I regularly work with players ranging from school level right up to established international athletes. I focus on technical refinement, video analysis, and mental performance coaching, offering a well-rounded and modern approach to player development. My coaching philosophy is rooted in personalised attention and unlocking the deeper aspects of a cricketer’s game — both physically and mentally.

 I’m also active as a talent scout, helping to identify standout players from the local club circuit and supporting their journey to the next level — whether that’s academy selection, county exposure, or international trials. I have a proven track record of taking club cricketers to the international stage.
